Background

I first encountered design concepts while studying Occupational Therapy. There I learned the significance of well-designed spaces and objects for human well-being. I later began to consult with various NPOs in Cape Town involved in placemaking, working to improve public spaces for the goal of community well-being. I then re-directed my design focus to interior spaces, graduating as an Interior Designer from the Interior Design Institute- South Africa. Over the last four years I have collaborated with clients, architects and other designers in creating various spaces for working, living and playing.

Approach

Well-being is a value that continues to motivate my work as an interior designer. Whether in consultation or full design, I provide a conscious service based on understanding how people interact with each other and their environments. The goal is to work closely with clients and service providers, to create beautiful spaces without compromising on functionality.
